Contrary to societal beliefs ..

I first had my iPhone when I was 13 and since then I’ve used this guide by Apple on how to transfer all the stuff from one iPhone to another.

But since then it’s been like what 8-10 years since it has passed?

And transferring all my stuff from one iPhone to another has become somewhat like a yearly ritual.

Great story. So give me a reason why I should read this article?

Experience.

Just cold hard experience and a lot of cutting the bullshit.

Yeah, that’s right.

That’s what I am here to offer you with this curated write up.

I’ll show you how to transfer all your stuff from your old iPhone to your new iPhone X in just 10 little simple steps.

Because what most people don’t understand but you do is that it’s a lot easier than you think.

Step 10:  Plug your iPhone X into your computer and then Slide to setup on iPhone.

Step 11: Restore from iTunes backup (remember the one that you did just now?).

That it! 🙂

Note

The reason why you should Encrypt Backup is so that when you Restore on your iPhone X, all of your password info along with it. (besides you can always change/remove it once you’re done.)

I don’t recommend this but ..

If you don’t have your computer nearby with you

Then you can use your iCloud.

But it’s best if you can try and get a hold of a computer anywhere you are, and do the first method. (even if that means to bribe your hotel manager, and yes it has happened before).

So if you still want to go ahead with this, then here’s how.

Step 1:  On your old iPhone, make sure that it is connected to  Wi-Fi. (If it’s low on charge, keep it charged).

Step 2:  Go ahead and open your Settings app and then tap on Yourself.
