Be like Baby

Put in your Earphones.

Wear your shades.

Hit that Spotify playlist.

Drive.

But wait…

Most of us don’t even know how to drive to our dentist without an app like Waze to show us the way.

So before you hit that pedal, go ahead and enable Spotify in Waze. (you’ll thank me later)

What you’re going to need

An Android device (sorry iPhone users)

Waze app installed (make sure to log in)

Spotify app installed (make sure to log in)

How to Enable Spotify in Waze Navigation App: 2 Steps

Step 3:  Alright. Now scroll down until you see Social, then enable Waze navigation.

2.  Enable Spotify in Waze App

Step 1:  Now right after you have enabled Waze in your Spotify app, you’ll see a blue banner at the top of your Spotify asking you to head over to your Waze app and enable Spotify in Waze.

Tap on this blue banner.

Step 2:  You’re almost done! Right after you’ve tapped the blue banner, Waze will now ask for your permission if you want to connect your Waze to your Spotify account (if you don’t see this just go to the end of this article).  All you have to do is just tap on Okay.

Step 3:  Now that you have connected your Spotify to Waze, you’ll see your very own Spotify icon floating in your Waze map. Do you see it?

Step 4:  Great! You can tap on your Spotify icon and it’ll show you the song that is currently playing or the song that you last played in your Spotify. You’ll also get your own playback controls.

Now you might be curious of what happens if you tap on the Go to Spotify icon which you see to your top right hand side.

Well..

Tapping on that brings you back to your Spotify app and it shows you the next navigation step. (so you won’t miss that Dunkin Donuts, that you were hoping to bring your date to, along the way)

If you don’t see any navigation steps and if all that you see is Go to Waze in your Spotify app, then that means you haven’t entered your destination yet.

What to do if Waze doesn’t automatically ask you to connect to your Spotify account

You can do it manually and I’ll show you how.

Step 1:  Head over to your Waze app, and tap on the Search icon which is to your bottom left hand corner.

Step 2: Now tap on your Settings (gear icon) and then scroll down a little until you see Spotify. Found it? Great! Just select Connect Spotify, and this will then bring up the Connect Waze.

That’s it!

Now you can listen to your Spotify playlist whilst you drive without having to worry about anything. 🙂
